Cow Horse Training Weekend - Students Comments

Excellent! Learned so much!

Build confidence had lost.

Dennis is a great teacher.

Easy progression of sessions, made it easy to learn and retain.

Great learning experience working cattle, body alignment with horse in order to influence the cow. Start slow and speed will come. Overall, great weekend, with like minded people and great teachers. - Toni W.

- Highlight 1: Using my horse that's been in training with Dennis for the past 4+ months. I could really see how far he's come (more than in the lessons). Dennis has made a versatile horse that I feel safe with, and also performs just as well as some of the older horses!

- Highlight 2: Learning tools to develop myself and my horse. For example, the two exercises: look where you're going and look where you have been. It made so much sense the way Dennis explained it, and I know this is something that I can do with all my horses to develop them/keep them sharp.

- Highlight 3: Cows!!!

- Highlight 4: The people. It was just like riding with a group of friends for the weekend. Except also learning so much! I told Steve at the end, "I'm starting to feel like I really do this." - Sarah R.

I attended the 2 day D/C week end cattle training clinic and learned so much, day one was in the indoor arena and my horse Gunner was not bad on the flag, day two we all rode in a large pasture and Mr. Cappel helped me with my no confidence issue and my uncooperative horse so when it was time to work the cattle all was good. I came away a better horsemen also we had a group of like minded folks that supported each other and worked as a team. It just doesn't get any better than that. Thank you Dennis and Cindy and I can't wait till the next one. - Ray N.
