Clear Mental Horsemanship with Dennis Cappel
Life has a way of reminding us what really matters.
Recently, I was thinking about a mom whose child spent several days in the hospital while her other children were at home waiting for her. It’s the kind of situation no parent hopes to face, yet it reminds us of the incredible strength people find when they have no choice but to keep moving forward.
In the horse world, we see that same kind of dedication every day. Horse owners balance family, work, and responsibilities while still making sure their horses receive the best care possible.
Behind every well-cared-for horse is someone who has made sacrifices that often go unnoticed.
At Cappel Training and Shoeing, we know that horses are part of the family. We also know that life doesn’t stop when challenges arise. During difficult seasons, a kind word, a helping hand, or simply knowing someone understands can make all the difference.
If you’re going through a hard time, remember that you don’t have to carry everything alone. Give yourself grace, lean on the people who care about you, and take one day at a time. The strongest people aren’t those who never struggle; they’re the ones who keep showing up with love, even when the days are hard.
To all the hardworking families, horse owners, and parents doing their best: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re cheering you on.
Mindful Riding,
Dennis Cappel
