Reading a horse is a skill that "can be" and "must be" learned in order to have clear and effective communication with your horse.
Why is that important? If you miss reading the attitude behind the physical expressions of your horse, your response to them can be misinterpreted and your results will be inconsistent at best.
But when you have accurately assessed the horse's attitude and action then your response to them will be exactly as it should be every time.
