We take time to talk about the horse’s posture, but what about the rider's? What message is it sending the horse? Could we have a body part that communicates more than others? Hear what master Horseman Dennis Cappel has discovered over decades in the saddle.

Communication awareness:

The most useful tool that you have to communicate with your horse is with you all the time. You can stay in a state of unawareness and let it continue to work against you, or you can, through awareness and self-discipline, use it to improve your relationship with your horse with every ride.

What I am talking about is your sits bones and the seat of your pants. Yes it is true that with the understanding of how to let your horse feel your body in this area is the door way for your thoughts to go through your body into the horse’s body and ultimately into the thought process of the horse, which is what gets the horse’s body to do what you want it to when you want them to do it!
