Experience this exceptional training weekend of getting you and your horse comfortable working a cow. Instructor: Master Horseman, Dennis Cappel Videos and pictures available Date: June 7-8th Time: 10-4pm Fee: $650 Deposit: $300 reserves your spot ( limited riders) Balance: $350 due at clinic Horses lodging: stalls or runs available Lunch: BYO or there is a restaurant nearby Saturday, June 7th: Flag Work * Learn proper positioning to work cattle * Helps to get your horse broke better * Builds confidence in horse and rider * Preparation for Sunday with live cattle Sunday, June 8th: Live Cattle Work * Get your horse comfortable in cattle * Learn how to rate a cow * Stop and turn properly * Work a cow *Important please read!* All our clinics start with a Mental preparation session. For this Cattle Working clinic we have chosen to give you a video prior with that information so you can view it at your leisure. I could really see how far he's come (more than in the lessons). Dennis has made a versatile horse that I feel safe with, and also performs just as well as some of the older horses! - Highlight 2: Learning tools to develop myself and my horse. For example, the two exercises: look where you're going and look where you have been. It made so much sense the way Dennis explained it, and I know this is something that I can do with all my horses to develop them/keep them sharp. - Highlight 3: Cows!!! - Highlight 4: The people. It was just like riding with a group of friends for the weekend. Except also learning so much!
